Sooo Close

yet even though I have about 3 weeks left they are slooooowwwly ticking by and 3 weeks seems like forever. And I feel even more anxious because we are moving very soon. Bags are pack and car seat is in to car. We are ready. And she can come at anytime or could be right on time.

here & now

Here is my growing belly. I have taken a photo every months since October. I almost don't fit into the frame in the last photo so far for April.

Little Valentine

This little guy is my littlest valentine this year. He is honestly the sweetest little boy! He tells me "I 'wove you," surprise hugs, and "hold you" on a hourly/daily basis. He spreads so much love. I love him!

We have some fun planned for today to celebrate.

Happy Love Day!

I hope your day is filled with love.

Apples and Mohawks

Right now.... we are enjoying be a family again. We are just getting used to being together again.  R is loving daddy being home. He clings to him when he is home and if he's not home he always asks where he is. I think what I missed most about him being aways is well everything. We went on an afternoon walk and I snapped a few photos. You can see more of my photography here on my photography blog.

20120730-IMG_1164 he has such nice large eyes like me :)

20120730-IMG_1158 trying to get him to even look towards the camera is really hard at this stage. He knows not to unless I promise him candy. Ha!

Home

Warning! This post is photo heavy.... lots of homecoming photos!

The day he came home I felt so overwhelmed, nervous, anxious, excited, and I freaked out just a little (which is not normal for me--way out of my comfort zone). I had those little butterflies all day long. It felt like a long day, but nothing in comparison to 10 months of waiting... though hours dragged by.
The plane landed! Then they all walked past us. That's when it hit me, that he was really home.
You could feel the energy and excitement in the room. They came marching with smoke and music which makes it really entertaining. Here are a glimpse of the best day! Welcome home J!

He is finally home! We made it! He was gone about 10 months. In that 10 months I learned a lot about myself. I know one thing for sure, it puts so many things into perspective for me. Knowing that the little things do not really matter. There are so many lessons learned through experiences like this.
I am thankful to those who helped me through some of the tougher times.

Thank you to Katie Collins for taking these photos for me and being there for us!

4ever his

Today is our 4 year anniversary. Today 4 years ago I married the most wonderful man. God has blessed me so richly with a wonderful and godly husband.

4 years

In the last 4 years we have

moved 4 times.

had the most beautiful baby.

learned how to be very independent.

bought a home.

learned that time apart makes time together more valuable.

lived on love (not money).

visited places we never dreamed we would see.

learned to live.

I continue to learn more of him everyday. I only pray and hope for 90 more years together.

I love you J!!

Father's Day

I have the most amazing husband who is a wonderful daddy. He is the most helpful person I know. He will do anything for R or I from helping with diapers to making sure we are taken care of. I could not have asked God for a better father for R.

I know he wishes he were home with R or even just able to talk to him on Father's Day. Last year he missed Father's day and more than likely he will miss it next year too. I show R pictures of him while he is away and he always lights up with a huge smile. R loves him a lot.

Chalk Love Letters

My Mawmaw gave me a few mirrors when J and I were married. I love these little mirrors. I converted it into a chalk board. [1] I popped out the mirror. [2] Trace and cut out chalk paper. [3]Put sticky chalk paper on the back of the mirror and popped it back in and voli I have the prefect chalk board.

We use it for love notes between J and I. I love coming into the kitchen and getting a little reminder of him during the day when he is gone. Just simple little surprises make me happy. He always leaves a note before he goes into field training or leaving for a while. These are a few photos of my chalk love letters.
