I have a instagram page of our family trip to Florida. Ahh... I wish I were there now. Wouldn't that be great, instead of counting down the days until he leaves. Anyway I decided to try my first Sunday sketch over at Studio Calico. Photo Booth

J, R, and I all went to the grand opening of the commissary here at Fort Bliss. There was a free photo booth and of course we had to do it. These were the real deal when it comes to photo booth photos.

I really enjoy days like that. When we can just do whatever. R was super tired in the photos... can you tell?

One thing I noticed about photo booth layout, is they are almost always on 8.5x11. I think that's because they will get lost if the page was any larger.

I love the little camera from Amy Tan's new collection for silhouette.
I hid the journaling/story inside the little kraft envelope... on of my favorite parts to this layout.

I used Studio Calico's July kit, Mind the Gap. Also Elle's Studio tags. And American Crafts + Amy's camera for silhouette. If you notice I used the packaging from SC's fab rips.

Star Spangled + Saturday Morning

This is the first year our family has not spent the 4th of July in Georgia. Though things are almost the same minis family and a parade. We had a great weekend! This page is for the symphony and fireworks we enjoyed.

Happy Summer

Today it's officially summer! It's so hot and dry in our part of the country and has been feeling like summer since like April.

I have another new layout that I'm in love with. These photos were taken on Fort Bliss so I did a little play with the title bliss. Our life is bliss and happen to be stationed at Fort Bliss. Enjoy and thanks for looking!

You can add digital elements to your layouts. One way is to add them to photos then print. Like I did here with the frames.

I have been using digital scrapbooking to inspire my pages. This layout was inspired by my layout The sky's the limit.

Scraps

I have decided to dive into traditional scrapbooking. I will continue to crank out plenty of digital layouts too. I like using both mediums. Both have advantages and disadvantages. Since I do not have a really good local store I am now using Studio Calico's monthly kits. I love their selections. Here is my first layouts using May's Kit Lawn Party.
