Blog Tour with Erin Stewart

I am so excited to be participating in the blog tour that has been going around. There are many creative scrapbookers to tour. I was tagged by Amy Mallory, my long time friend, to participate and I am glad she invited me. She is a very creative digital scrapbooker who creates for Designer Digitalis, who I think may be going paper!

Below I answer the blog tour questions so that you can get to know more about me.

What am I working on right now?

This week I am putting together my silhouette ordainments for the coming holiday season. And I will be adding more than just ordainments. Stay tuned for that. You can find a post here of ordainments that I have done in the past.

How long does it take to create a project?

Scrapbook pages take me anywhere from 1-3 hours a piece. That doesn't include editing photos, printing photos, and figuring out a design. I like the creating process, though it takes up space in my mind.

What are my favorite things to create with at the moment?

I really like to create with pattern paper. I have so much of it! It's abundant in my stash. I need another Cropper Hopper.

How does my writing/creating process work?

I start by deciding on a design. That to me is the most important aspect of creating scrapbooking pages. It always starts there for me. Then I decided on the photo(s). Next I choose the color scheme based on the photo(s). Then put it all together from there. Using Project Life is a different process that starts with the photos, then choose page protectors, then choose cards with a color scheme... that simple.

How do I become inspired and stay inspired?

I become inspired by things around me. The inspiration from this page was from a striped fabric curtain. A lot of times I am inspired by an ad or artwork. It can come from anywhere. I stay inspired by trying new things. It will get old doing the same technique or same design. That's just me! I need to reinvent it from time to time too keep going on scrapbooking.

What is my signature style?

I consider my style colorful, bright, and simple. A lot of times, less is more, when it comes to scrapbooking. I try not to go overboard with to much paper or embellishments. Color is part of my style because I love color.
