Baby Album Part 2 | Project Life

I love this baby book! As each month I add to it, it tells a story. I can pour my heart into the journaling and add all the millstones that have happened throughout the year. I am so excited to complete this album by her 1st birthday coming soon. I know one day she will look back through it and enjoy it as much as I do right now.

These are my most resent month pages. I plan to go back and add in months 1-7, but for now this is most fresh to me. I love these pages. Each one came together easily. The cards are perfect and fit my photos well. I have decided since I started this album, that I want it to be completely about her. I want it to be focus on her photos. The relationship type photos of her and Ruger etc will be in our yearly album.

My favorite subject

is R. All my pages revolve around him. I am getting close to finishing his baby scrapbook.

Digital or hybrid, I love both mediums. I am really liking traditional scrapbooking. Something about how it jumps off the page. Expect to see more traditional from me soon. Here are my current layouts (minis 1 out for publication). All products can be found at JessicaSprague.com.

The Journey

Life changed for us quickly. We found out that we were going to Fort Bliss two months before we left. We had no clue what Fort Bliss or El Paso meant other than not beach location we were hoping for. We did not know when we would be moving to Fort Bliss.

When J came home from Basic Training and OSUT, just a week later we were in El Paso. After a two day drive, two weeks in a hotel, and a moving van a month later, we were here.

As we stand on the mountain and look over El Paso we realize this is home for now
We were out of our element; desert, Mexicans, and their culture. Why did we get sent here? Why not closer to home or a tropical destination? We were here so we learned to deal with the dry heat, culture shock, and military life because we had to. We have seen the beauty of this area. It has only made our family stronger.

Ruger was born here. We made friends here. Home was very distant. Georgia is home. We had a house, family, and good friends. We learned we still had our family, our friends, and our house.

Right now we are on an adventure and learned a lot from our experience. Learned we can do anything.

You can find strength in life changes as I have. Not only moving but dealing with the army wife life.

For the love of baking

Homemade Collection by Baers Garden

I must admit that I love to bake. Especially cupcakes (who doesn't right?). I love the way they look, how easy they are to create, how the smell, their just cute! I love cheesecake or anything with cream cheese. I love chocolate. I love red velvet cake, but I haven't mastered making read velvet cake yet. I love strawberry flavor! I enjoy being the wife a home that's in the kitchen baking. I like to send J to work with treats and he usually shares. It's my part of reaching to the heart. In the phrase, "A way to man's heart is through his stomach."

I am currently working on my stash of cupcake things. I am excited to make cupcakes, but I can't just make them for anything... they tempt me too much. It must be for an event...

Oh but I did make cheesecake cupcakes for the weekend and they are sooo yummy. Photos to come.

I get better at baking everyday.

Hybrid-ness

My recent hybrid projects that I have done recently. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for taking a look.

I "scrapped" my phone. This is a skin I ordered through a custom online shop. I really enjoy showing off my unique phone. Plus it reminds me of my family.

In print

Putting your digital creations into print is a way to make them last a long time and showcase the memories. Today I got my 20 page photo book for PaperKiwi.com. The book is exactly  I expected.

Order and Upload:  First I download the program to put my book together. It was super easy. I also downloaded the template for the cover, which helped me design the cover to fit perfect. Ordering was easy, it takes you step by step. They sent me an email when my book shipped. I would order from  Paper Kiwi again.

Greet the Morning

R is so happy when he wakes. He looks up and just grins. I am so glad he is always easy to please and sweet baby. I am blessed. Not to say there are not times when I am cleaning up spit up or up at 3:30 am because he woke up in the middle of the night (a-hum, last night). But in general he is always grinning for strangers and happily playing. We even giggling at each other lately.

I used Bike Season from Baer's Garden to create this layout. One of my favorites so far.
