silhouette christmas ornament

I am so in love with these silhouettes. I first saw the tutorial and these frames from Splendid Fiins, I knew what I had to make with these. Ruger's "1st Christmas" ornament, of course. There is so much you could do with this silhouette.

Here is one attempt at trying to get Ruger's photo for his project...

Here is the digital version, that I printed 3.5x4".

To make it sturdy so that (I hope) it will last for years to come, I cut a recycled box or you could you chipboard. I painted it red on the back.

After printing the silhouette, I glued it down, and carefully cut it out. Added some baker's twine and here you go.

Aint you just in love with these! You could even include this in a December daily album.
Umm, I might give one for a present to my family. We shall see...

Watch and Learn

Watch and Learn, originally uploaded by eja stewart.
I've been MIA. So Thanksgiving was nice, but not very eventful. I cooked some yummy food. We just has some of Jason's buddies who really had no where else to be. Then we frantically had to find a place to live by the end of November--that was stressful! NO ONE would even call us back or even pick up the phone. We finally found an apartment which took way to long to process us. So we had a day and a half to move everything by ourselves and the next day hubby went out of town. This is a layout for an everyday moment in our lives. Jason was playing a game and I was probably trying to get supper on the table. Ruger was probably just wanting to be held. Finally Jason was multitasking.
